Hotfoot it to Starbucks before 11.30am today and quote 'harvest' for a free latte...

My Waitrose - Free Tea or Coffee

Have you signed up for a My Waitrose card yet? One of these beauties gives you access to all sorts of insights into how the other half live and most importantly a free regular tea or coffee every day. You also get a free newspaper Monday-Friday if you spend over £5 and exclusive discounts on food shopping.

A free coffee is a great excuse to get out of the house or pop out of work at lunchtime and have a change of scene. In fact I am writing this post in a Waitrose Café!

You can pick up an application form in store and it's definitely worth making room in your purse for!

Outdoor Gym

This Easter weekend I managed to make the most of a break in the weather (blue skies!) and try an outdoor gym. I first spotted one of these in London a while back and have been intrigued to try one ever since. They're all run by different councils and providers, but there are two fairly comprehensive location listings here and here.

I have always resented paying for a gym membership, as they are rarely worth it unless you go frequently, so a free gym seemed like an amazing idea. I won’t lie, it wasn’t warm, but I went for a run first to get me in the mood. I was worried I’d feel self-conscious, but it was quiet in the park, aside from a few children on school holidays.

This outdoor gym had a fairly good spread of equipment and I tested it all out. The step machine needed oiling and there was a bit of graffiti, but other than that, it was in pretty good condition.

I loved being outside and still getting to use the resistance equipment you can usually only find inside the gym and best of all it was completely free, so I would thoroughly recommend trying out your local outdoor gym! Fingers crossed that spring will be here soon to make the most of it.
